Cold Mill Spools
Application:
Kinglink centrifugal casting spools are used as cores for winding foils and sheets in the cold mill processes for aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.
Materials:
Kinglink ensures unmatched supply capabilities by customizing materials to meet the unique requirements of each customer and market. In the annealing process, where spools are exposed to temperatures of approximately 650°C for up to 20 hours, bearing the entire weight of the aluminum coil, the importance of high-temperature creep-resistant performance cannot be overstated. To address this, Kinglink has strategically optimized and standardized the material for spools to 25Cr2MoV. This alloy not only boasts mechanical properties that surpass those of competing materials in spool manufacturing but also presents a more cost-effective solution. Through rigorous testing and extensive usage, 25Cr2MoV has consistently proven its ability to meet the stringent requirements of Kinglink's valued long-term customers.
Capacity:
With its complete production process for centrifugal casting spools, Kinglink achieves an impressive annual capacity of 3600 spools in different sizes, showcasing manufacturing excellence:
Maximum outer diameter of 1200mm
Minimum outer diameter of 100mm
Length of 5000mm
Single spool weight of 3 tons
Quality:
Certified with ISO9001, we maintain standardized and recorded quality control throughout every stage of our process.
We use Spectrometers to detect and control the chemical composition of each centrifugal casting spool blank. The samples, marked with a specific heat number, are stored for two years. The heat numbers will be tracked to the finished spools.
we rigorously test and control the hardness of each spool, conducting mechanical property tests for every 20 spools.
Dimensional and geometrical requirements are meticulously inspected and controlled by CNC machines. Additionally, each spool undergoes evaluation through computerized dynamic balance machines.
For easy quality traceability, each spool is individually stamped with a required ID number along with the distinctive Kinglink sign.
our spools are well-protected with anti-rust paint and meticulously packed for secure transportation.
